The Commission for University Education (CUE) conducted a technical inspection at Outspan Medical College yesterday, 4th June 2025, marking a significant step forward in OMC’s journey toward achieving university status. This follows the formal proposal submitted to the Commission in 2024 as part of our transition into a fully-fledged university.
The comprehensive inspection involved a detailed walk-through of the entire campus, with the CUE team thoroughly assessing facilities, resources, academic infrastructure, and compliance with regulatory standards. The entire management team and staff members were actively engaged in the exercise, reaffirming our collective commitment to meeting the Commission’s requirements.
The move to grow and expand is driven by the need to meet the demands of the healthcare sector, the institution's 10 year strategic plan outlines the need to expand and grow to meet this demand. Thus, the actions and steps taken thus far have led us to this point — a pivotal moment in our journey — where the institution must evolve in order to create lasting impact and foster growth within the healthcare ecosystem.
This milestone reflects our dedication to academic excellence and our readiness to offer quality degree programs that will enhance healthcare education and practice in the region. We thank the Commission for University Education (CUE) team for their rigorous assessment and continued support. As we move forward, we remain focused on our mission to shape the future of healthcare through high-quality, relevant, and transformative education.
